Isabel and Matt’s Engagement Session at Cherry Beach

Our Story:

Matt and I went to Bishop Allen high school together and although we had a lot of friends in common, I don’t believe we ever actually spoke until grade 12. He sat in front of me in band class for 3 years and we never spoke! He used to wave at me in the hallways and smile and I’d smile back and then ask myself “why is that guy always waving? We don’t really know each other….”. I didn’t know him enough that for one of our school’s semi formal dances I didn’t end up sitting with my date because he wanted to sit at Matt’s table and I didn’t want to sit with some guy I didn’t know.In grade 12 (getting there!) Matt’s grandpa apparently picked me out at the school concert and told Matt we should date. Matt ended up at the same new years eve party as me and had to leave early so we exchanged numbers so that I could fill him in on what he missed. We talked for about 5 hours on the phone the next night and every night after that for a couple weeks and the rest is history! Now I get to marry my prom date in about 3 months!
